Anonymous said: So this may sound weird but I'm desperately in need of advice and you seem to always know what to say....I just feel weird cause we went to high school together and I guess I secretly don't want to be judged? Idk I just don't really know who else to ask.

Okay we can keep this anonymous if you’d like or if you’re comfortable you can ask un-anonymously and I’ll answer it in private :)

You don’t have to be pretty like her. You can be pretty like you. One of the most freeing things I have ever heard (via dingyfeathers)

Wow thank you! This hit home for me and made me so very happy. I find that many people lose themselves when they have children and I think it is crucial to be the same awesome and interesting people that we all are prior to children even after they’re here so that they feel like it is okay to be themselves as well. It also helps for our well being as parents to channel some our energy from time to time into things we enjoy doing besides parenting so that we never lose our joy as parents and as individuals. Balance is everything and I’m really proud to have been able to establish that in my life. Parenting is amazing! But so is being me. Love to you, xoxo
